Last night, Jack was super tired and was having some "I just need my Mommy" moments. At one point, he was crying telling me he just loved me so much and he just wanted to spend time with me. At the same time, I hear Andrew and Madelyn upstairs brushing teeth and Madelyn saying "Go avay, Daddy. Go avay."
Earlier in the day, we were all downstairs and I asked Madelyn for a kiss. She refused, and so I started pretend crying. This never works on her. She never feels compelled to comfort me to make me feel better, and instead usually gets angry when I stop fake crying. "You have to cry, Mommy. Start crying right now." Jack witnessed all of this, and while he was not the cause of my fake tears, he still came over every time to console me and love on me. This only made Madelyn angrier and she would try to pull Jack off of me.
